Print Case Study

The advertisement campaign came across because of a partnership with Google and Nestle. Due to this partnership the latest version of Androids mobile operation system was named after KitKat. The advertisement campaign was done by JWT to promote the operating system by Android, and promoting KitKat like a new mobile device.

The print based advert above was done by JWT London and to promote the new Android operating system and KitKat. The advert is very simple with its colours, font and pictures. The background for the ad is KitKat's very simple colour red that they use for their packaging. The picture of the KitKat is very clear and recognisable and you identify clearly that its KitKat. The font is very clear and simple to read, but the text is something you dont really see on a chocolate bar advert, it is normally something that you associate with mobile phone advertisement which confuses you when first looking at the advert. The advert is also rebranding the KitKat as if it was a new mobile device and the do this across the whole campaign calling it the KitKat 4.4 to fit in with the Android operating system. The print advert doesn't really give enough to say that its promoting KitKat and Android the viewer would have to do a bit of research or know about the Android KitKat partnership beforehand.

The video advert for the campaign further promoted the KitKat like a mobile phone with using words and phrases that would usually be used in promoting a new mobile phone. At the end of the advert they reveal a new packaging for KitKat with Android on it and text of search Android KitKat underneath, again the viewer has to research about the add to get further information but its more clear what the ads about than the print based one.

As well as the adverts KitKat and Android gave away Nexus 7 Tablets. The advert was done by JWT Amsterdam, the concept of the ad was putting up several ads in Amsterdam and Utrecht with bench's for people to have a break on. Whoever was sitting on one of these bench's on September 14th would get a Nexus 7 given to them by a KitKat delivery guy.

Analyse Two Adverts

Brownstone Design

Brownstone Designs advert is simple, colourful and clear.
Its very clear and easy to read what they company are with the logo in the top right.
Its a well known insurance company, not really clear what its advertising though.
I would say the genere of the advert is business.
The layout is very simple and eye catching with the choice of background colour makes it stand out.
I would say the Target Audience ranges from Adults starting their insurance plans or Adults wanting to change their insurance plans, I would say 20's to 60's

On Agency

Lots of infrormation on the ad.
Image in black and white, important writing in colour and bold so its easy to read and noticeable.
Not very clear what company the advert is for.
I would say the genere of the advert is Health Care.
The layout and colour is quite dull but the important bits are bold and in colour.
The adverts objective is to make people aware of strokes and how to deal with them.
I would say the Target Audience is for Adults from late 20's to there 80's to be aware of strokes and how to deal with them.
